This last season has been a long transition in location. Here’s a timeline that shows a bit more of what it takes to move an entire organization and several families / teammates to a new country.

December 2023 – Our counseling center announced that we’d be moving from our location in the Middle East to Central Europe, due to visa issues. We took a quick trip to check out the city and see if it was a fit for our family.

January – April 2024 – We continued counseling full-time and prepared for the next season. In April, our whole team planned a trip to Central Europe, where we scouted out many aspects of life and work in this new location.

April 2024 – We saw our last clients from our prior office and closed our middle east space. Our team began preparations both personally and as an office to make an international move.

May – July 2024 – We were in the states for a family wedding and additional support raising as we prepared to move to a new location.

August 2024 – We returned and packed up our home of 4 years along the Mediterranean and then re-landed in Central Europe.

September 2024 – We found an apt and began the long visa process.

October 2024 – Our household furniture and belongings arrived via international transfer.

November 2024 – We found new office space, began renovations and preparations for the new chapter of our counseling center. Our daughter also started in part-time preschool with classmates from 11 different countries!

January 2025 – We began booking clients for 2025. We also discovered new issues with visas that sent us back into the process.

February 2025 – We got possession of our office. Furniture arrived from our prior location. We had two weeks to set up the entire space.

March 2025 – We opened our doors again to start full-time counseling for cross-cultural workers. What a joy for our team to have reached this point!
