INDIANA

June 11 @ 7pm at the Bluffton AC Fellowship Hall

Nick & Amber will share new stories about the pastoral & clinical counseling work they are doing in the Middle East and their upcoming move to Budapest, Hungary! You’ll also get to hear from their international church pastor and his wife, who have been deeply involved in the counseling work with them! They bring a lifetime of harrowing stories from their work in the Middle East – and know all too well the need for intensive counseling for workers – particularly in this part of the world.

You’ll also get to:

  • Sample some ethnic foods we’ve loved in our life abroad
  • Gain fresh insights into supporting cross-cultural workers you know and love
  • Catch up with our family
  • Learn about our current needs and pray with us

ILLINOIS

SAVE THE DATE: July 5, Bloomington AC Church HUB at 7pm

Nick & Amber have seen first-hand how cross-cultural workers can struggle to sustain their mental / physical / spiritual health in hard-to-reach places. In fact, many leave the field before they really have a chance to become effective. Language barriers, inefficient government systems, cultural differences, traumatic events – these things add up and take a toll on families, marriages, teams, and personal health. And when they too often return home disillusioned, broken, and hurting – it takes a lot of extra support to help them recover.

As part of an international counseling center, Nick and Amber are helping workers find hope, healing and renewal through pastoral and clinical counseling much closer to where they are. For the past 4 years, they’ve worked in the Middle East, providing transformational care for workers in Eurasia and around the world.

Come hear more about:

  • Why counseling and supporting cross-cultural workers is vital to Kingdom work
  • Practical ways you can support workers you care for
  • Stories of transformation amidst trauma in hard places
  • Thee Steffen’s own upcoming international move (with the counseling center) and how you can be a part of this work with them
