PHONETICS TRAINING

Hi from Colorado! We are a week into our month-long training before leaving the country. Not only are we enjoying the scenery and the group we’re living with for the month, but we’re neck deep in some new skill-sets that will hopefully aid us well in our next season.

The first week here has been a lot of phonetics work. We’ve been training our mouths to make new sounds and learning some really practical tools on how to actually go about learning a new language.

While the weeks here will be full, the weekends provide us some time to explore and rest. We’re reflecting a lot on the changes through this season. It’s been a long road getting to this point, and we now find ourselves transitioning in a new way – homeless in a way, preparing for some really hard goodbyes and anticipating some really different views in the near future. We are also so grateful for the opportunity to do this work, and filled with great peace as we move forward, one step at a time.

Thank you for making this season possible! This training is tried and true, and we see already how it will set us up to transition well overseas. More to come, but we’re thankful and doing well. Thanks for lifting us up!
